Katrina Tails is a feature-length documentary on the people and pets of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Directed by award-winning filmmaker, Denise Richards the film follows a disparate group of Gulf Coast residents in their efforts to be reunited with their pets. We view the events from both sides of the fence: the pet owners searches and the volunteer rescue workers efforts to save animals that have been trapped in the flooded city. This 90-minute documentary provides insight into the human/animal bond, couched in a narrative to which everyone can relate: the search for a loved one.
