AMRITSA has co-produced a new Russian / Welsh / English film entitled 'From Wales With Love', it stars Ukrainian actress Olga Romchuk as Natasha. The film was shot in and around Swansea during the Summer (!) of '07.

We join a new Russian bride and her Welsh husband on their wedding night. The film premieres at the Swansea Life Film Festival 2008.

Before founding this film production company I'd enjoyed an enormously varied career and I'm happy to include several Oscar and Golden Globe winners amongst my personal friends. Why is a Hollywood based producer calling his company Welsh Dragon Pictures ?? Like most people in this business I'm a huge romantic - exacerbated by my Celtic roots. Another reason is the vast reserves of talent and ability in Wales... just think about that for a moment. An area of just a 30 miles radius has given the world Sir Anthony Hopkins, Richard Burton, Catherine Zeta Jones, Ioan Gryfydd, Michael Sheen, Sian Phillips, Sir Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and the first Welsh Oscar winner Ray Milland - whom I had the great pleasure of working alongside. I also won a Tinny here ! I' ve just completed shooting 'Christmas Isn't Presents' here in Swansea. Enjoy the trailer.

The life story of Llanelli born Gareth Hughes, Wales' first Hollywood motion picture star who latterly became known as 'Brother David' will be launched to accompany a TV documentary made by Kelvin Guy a relative of the star himself. Click Gareth's photo below for a sneak look at the trailer:

The Swansea Bay Film Festival has been an enormously successful event and The International Film Festival South Africa was likewise. AMRITSA are also proud to announce our newest event 'The International Film Festival England' to be held between June 10th and 13th 2008 in Tamworth, Leicestershire, UK.

ACTSwansea continues to grow from strength to strength alongside the Dylan Thomas Centre 'Play Offs' and in Spring 2008 - April 25th and 26th we stage the original version of Funkette !
